Yesterday we have discussion on fairness and judgement:
And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment-wickedness was there,in the place of justice-wickedness was there.
I thought in my heart, "God will bring to judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time for every deed". Ecclesiastes 3:16-17
The story of Gao Kwan, a Global award winner of his own invention, a Chinese Professor of HK University in his area of work allows me to think what is fair and unfair. I bet he has been working very hard throughout the years just for this goal of success, having an award is the ultimate reward. Many people would want that pretigious moment.
In most people's eyes, it is kind of unfair that he cannot share the happiness with everyone. He has Alzemeiher. A sickness that put all his glorious works in the back burner. He only use a smiling face to cover all the lost of memory. Isn't it unfair that God would allow this sickness in him at this time???
Maybe not, because there will be a time for every activity. The time that Gao Kwan is experiencing now is a time of regularity, a time to enjoy the love and care from his wife, a time of simplicity.
For me, learning from Jesus, the Messiah, the King of Kings, has the power to judge, has the power to announce that He will restore the prisoners or exiles, came to us in a gentle way, riding on a donkey. What God teaches me is to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with the Lord each day...What do I still have to fight for! What do I still have to work so hard to please for! What do I treasure most?
Lord, you are the one that I need to please, you are the one that I should treasure the most, teach me to be meek and not be judging with the eyes of people in the world, but with a humble heart and attitude. You said, Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth Mat 5:6 Praise be to the Lord!
Hosanna in the Highest!
